About Guru Purnima
Guru Purnima is an auspicious day to honour, celebrate and express our deep gratitude for the immense blessing of the Guru. It has has ancient roots and is celebrated by several traditions around the world: the Hindu, Jain and Buddhist communities celebrate with great love and joy, paying respect to their Guru. The word ‘Guru’ has Sanskrit origins, meaning ‘the dispeller of darkness’, and such a one is a light unto this world. We embrace this day to acknowledge our great fortune of sharing this lifetime with our beloved Moojibaba

Dress Code
Monte Sahaja is a place dedicated to introspection and self-realisation and is visited by people from all around the world. We ask that everyone wear modest clothing, avoiding anything that is too tight, revealing or transparent.
Children in Sahaja
As Monte Sahaja is a centre for self-realisation, all who come here must be drawn to this kind of atmosphere of presence and introspection—including children. Please share with them what the intention of this place is, that it is not a playground, and ask if they would really like to come. If they don’t, that is perfectly okay, and it is better that they come at another time if or when they wish. Children who are naturally drawn to this kind of environment are welcome to spend some time here. Should they (or anyone else) get overly agitated or restless, which naturally can happen, then it is best to leave.
