Untouched Presence ~ Lord Buddha

55

Lord Buddha sits serenely next to the unceasing ebb and flow of the ocean of existence, represented by the wood in the background.

The lotus base in which the Buddha sits symbolizes purity and spiritual awakening, just as the lotus flower blooms above the muddy waters. His right hand extends down towards the ground in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, capturing the pivotal moment when he called upon the Earth to witness his triumph over the temptations and distractions of Mara, the demon of illusion.

Description

The Catalonia Mooji Sangha, based in Spain, has been gathering regularly since 2016.
A few years ago, they were inspired to meet in the wood workshop of one of their members, Casper, where they began carving wooden crosses to offer to others.
The joy of creating together led them to continue meeting at the workshop, where they now craft shrine ornaments, pendants, and more. Each piece unfolds slowly, often over several weeks, with many hands contributing to its creation. Rooted in selfless service and guided by a natural flow of spirit, these works are offered from the heart.
