Annamalai Swami’s biography Living by the Words of Bhagavan is an opportunity to meet and walk alongside the great sage, Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Swami lived in Ramana Ashram from 1928-1938, during which time he supervised the building construction under Ramana’s direct guidance. The rare accounts shared here provide a window into the ashram’s daily life during this time and reveal how Ramana’s grace touched everything; from the daily preparation of food, the care of the animals and land to his attendance to the trials and tribulations of earnest seekers and his constant patience in ever directing their attention to the Self within.

Ramana’s spontaneity, humour and compassion for all shine throughout Living by the Words of Bhagavan. Here, Swami’s stories wonderfully bring to light the everyday miracles that sprung from Ramana’s presence.
